Ghaddar presents a series of sketches and paintings that portray the narratives of his commutes in public transportation, reflecting on the lack of a fatherly figure in his life. Rear-view mirrors and the ornaments that adorn them appear throughout the exhibition... reflections of the driver’s character – are distracting. Where was he really going?

Safieddine often found himself searching for a sense of familiarity in a sea of disputes and amicability – recalibrating, attempting to situate his experience vis-a-vis the only constant in his upbringing – the Red Chair. In his first solo exhibition, through a series of paintings, Safieddine examines how the chair has stripped its sitters of their traits and attachments. 'Who will stay seated, and who will stand up?'

Collectif 1200 was born out of an urgency to regroup in 2020 to reflect and create collectively in the face of the circumstances. Echoes from a Crowded Room is an invitation to explore the collective of photographers and the inner workings of the group, as they subject their work to a critical dialogue about the approaches, opinions, advice, progressions and reflections that have shaped this immersive exhibition.

For his first solo exhibition, Elias Nafaa has created an installation that suspends the “Impulsions” that have unfolded uncontrollably over a year. This culmination is the fruit of a fluid, impulse-driven process where thoughts, feelings, and anxieties project onto sheets of paper without any intention to conform to pre-established modes of representation.

Spinning Yards is an invitation to existing within conflict. In black ink, the brutal deformation that the city (Beirut), emotions, memories, and perceptions underwent is contrasted with the white frames that parallel each scene; a room to breathe, a moment to reflect, to absorb. The exhibition is accompanied by a hand-written poem by Elige Abou Youness to reciprocate the works on display.
